About Me
I am currently birthing into the world a tea company business with my partner, and while I'm not doing that, I work as a freelance CPA, specializing in personal and small business taxes. That means I help my friends and family with a lot of free consultation, ha! But it is very enjoyable for me to use my knowledge to help others understand difficult topics and make smarter choices. I want to get back to tutoring again because that's where I noticed how much I enjoy bringing clarity to students. Back in high school and college, I seemed to be the only one who enjoyed and *succeeded* in learning about less-popular subjects like mathematics. So, I'm here to help! And maybe make you smile!
Education
I studied Pharmacological Chemistry and Mathematics at UC San Diego, but ended up getting my B.S. in Mathematics only. I went on to get my Masters of Business Taxation from USC.
Teaching Experience
While I do not have formal teacher training, I have been tutoring students on and off, ranging from 12 to 21 years old for the last 10 years. I have tutored a bit in middle school level Reading, English, Math, and Physical Science. I've also tutored various math subjects, as well as English for foreign students and verbal Mandarin practice.
Interests
When I'm not working, I like to work on gardening and keeping my plants alive! I also watch a lot of TV and try to do as much reading as I can. Currently reading Becoming by Michelle Obama.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
